The Kaishan KW450 combines powerful hydraulic top-drive technology with an innovative two-stage telescopic feed carriage. Operating up to 10 times faster than conventional rotary drilling rigs, it seamlessly switches between high-pressure air percussion, foam flushing, and heavy mud drilling, providing contractors with an exceptionally economical, highly mobile 450-meter drilling platform.
Equipped with an industrial 103 kW Weichai turbocharged diesel engine driving parallel hydraulic transmission with independent oil pumps. Ensures balanced power delivery, simple maintenance, and high reliability under heavy loads.
Dual-cylinder lifting mechanism delivers a massive 25T (250 kN) pullback force. The 6.6m one-time advance stroke allows running standard 6-meter drill pipes (as well as 1.5m, 2m, or 3m rods), cutting joint connections in half.
Features a 3-gear adjustable distribution valve providing 7,000–9,500 N·m rotary torque and 50–135 r/min rotation speed. Large hollow spindle allows seamless alternate operation with compressed air, foam, and mud.
Four heavy-duty hydraulic outriggers provide a 1.6-meter vertical stroke. Enables instant chassis leveling on rough jobsites and allows the rig to self-load and unload onto flatbed transport trucks without an auxiliary crane.
Unique long-hole axial pressure adjustment system modulates weight-on-bit (WOB) as drilling depth deepens, reducing steering resistance and preventing drill string deviation in deep 450m boreholes.
Reinforced crawler undercarriage with wide track pads provides 30° climbing capability while minimizing ground damage. Standard equipment includes a 2-ton auxiliary tool winch, rod centralizer, and automatic hammer lubricator.
