Designed specifically for demanding open-cast metal mines, limestone quarries, and large-scale bench blasting, the Kaishan KG9 combines high drilling productivity with exceptional operator safety and ergonomics. Operating on high pneumatic pressure (1.0–2.5 MPa / 10–25 bar), the rig delivers deep, straight blast holes with rapid penetration rates across medium to ultra-hard rock formations (f=6–20).
Unlike compact open-platform drills, the KG9 is equipped with a certified ROPS/FOPS luxury operator cabin with high-output air conditioning and hydraulic pilot joystick controls, allowing a single operator to manage tramming, positioning, automated rod carousel extensions, and drilling with maximum precision and zero fatigue.
Equipped with a heavy-duty Yuchai YC6B125-K20 powertrain delivering continuous 92 kW output. Supplies ample hydraulic power for high-pressure propulsion, rapid tramming, and smooth 3,500 N·m rotary torque delivery.
Integrated disc-style automatic rod carousel stores ⌀89 × 4000 mm heavy-wall drill pipes, enabling single-setup automated drilling down to 32 meters depth without manual pipe handling. Includes automatic thread lubrication to prevent galling.
Spacious operator cab certified to international ROPS/FOPS safety standards. Outfitted with high-capacity climate control (A/C & heater), vibration-dampened seating, panoramic tinted safety glass, and high-fidelity stereo for all-weather comfort.
Smart hydraulic pilot circuit constantly monitors rotation torque and feed resistance. If fractured rock threatens to stick the drill string, the system automatically slows feed and reverses rotation, eliminating broken hammer risks.
Features 114° beam tilt, -20°~+47° boom pitch, and carriage lateral horizontal swing (-35°~+95°). Combined with a 1,353 mm slide compensation stroke, it easily executes vertical bench holes, toe holes, and horizontal pre-split blasts.
Integrated cyclonic laminar flow dust extraction with pre-separator captures fine stone particulates at the collar. Ensures compliance with global green mining regulations and provides zero-dust sightlines.
