The stepped piston architecture optimizes shockwave transmission efficiency, increases penetration rates, lowers R38/T38 drill steel consumption, and maximizes machine availability.
Built on a balanced 12,000 kg 4WD articulated wheeled chassis (1750 mm width) powered by a Cummins B3.9CS4-80C diesel engine (59 kW) for 10 km/h tramming, ±40° steering, ±10° rear axle oscillation, and 60 L fuel capacity, paired with a 45/55/75 kW electro-hydraulic power pack and a certified FOPS & ROPS lifting safety canopy.

The Kaishan KJ311 hydraulic underground mining jumbo is purpose-built for medium-to-large hard rock tunneling and mining development across 12–35 m² cross-sections:
While both cover 12–35 m² headings using the K 26F self-leveling boom, the KJ311 is mounted on a 12,000 kg 4WD articulated wheeled chassis with a 10 km/h tramming speed and 60 L fuel tank for rapid transit between multiple underground headings, whereas the KJ310 is a 13,500 kg crawler-mounted unit (2.5 km/h tramming speed).
The KJ311 can be equipped with HC50 (13 kW, Φ32–76 mm), HC95 / RD18U (18–20 kW, Φ42–89 mm), or HC95LMH / RD22U (21–22 kW, Φ42–102 mm) hydraulic drifters, paired with 45 kW, 55 kW, or 75 kW electric-hydraulic power units (380V/50Hz standard; custom site voltages available).
