The feed beam is fitted with high wear-resistant nylon anti-wear press plates, effortlessly driving 4–6 inch DTH hammers across large 115–203 mm solar pile foundation boreholes.
Powered by a high-efficiency four-cylinder Yuchai DKC2G3 diesel engine (73.5 kW / 98 HP @ 2,200 rpm) driving high-strength, large-displacement cast iron gear pumps. Built on a folding-frame crawler chassis with reinforced plunger piston tramming motors and ±10° hydraulic track leveling for steady ≤30° gradeability across steep mountain solar farms.
Equipped with an integrated digital controller for real-time monitoring of operational drilling parameters. The heavy articulated boom delivers wide coverage with 165° beam tilt (down 130°, up 35°) and a 900 mm compensation stroke, providing excellent positioning agility for photovoltaic piling and quarry bench blasting.

A: Solar farm installations frequently encounter uneven mountain terrain and hard bedrock where standard pile drivers fail. The KD70S provides large hole capability (115–203 mm), high torque (≥3,500 N·m), ±10° track leveling, and steep ≤30° climbing ability, allowing rapid pilot hole drilling for post-driven or cast-in-place solar piles on rocky slopes.
A: The KD70S requires an external air supply of 15–26 m³/min at 1.0–2.4 MPa working pressure. We recommend pairing it with the Kaishan KP825-18/21 YC portable diesel screw air compressor (18/21 bar) for optimum penetration and hole flushing speed in 115–203 mm holes.
A: The KD70S is configured for Φ76 mm × 2,000 mm friction-welded drill pipes and 4-inch to 6-inch high-pressure DTH hammers, offering high rock penetration rates across hardness ratings from f=6 up to f=20.
