Effortlessly powers 4-inch DTH hammers and Φ76 mm drill pipes in large 90–152 mm boreholes down to 25 meters without drill string binding.
Powered by a certified Yuchai four-cylinder non-road diesel engine (options: 58 kW / 78 HP or 73 kW / 98 HP) meeting strict emission regulations. Features upgraded folding-frame tracks, a four-wheel-drive undercarriage, plunger piston tramming motors, and ±10° track-leveling cylinders for ≤30° climbing gradeability on steep benches.
Enlarged pitch and lifting cylinders provide wide angular reach with low horizontal toe-hole blast drilling (min height: 350 mm; max: 2,850 mm). Built with thickened structural housing profiles, hoisting rings, and an enlarged onboard cyclonic dust collector (standard QZA-120 12-filter or optional QZA-140 16-filter) for clean quarry operations.

A: The KD45S upgrades to dual hydraulic rotation motors yielding 5,000 N·m rotary torque (vs. 2,000 N·m on KD40S), expands pull-up lifting force to 40 kN (vs. 25 kN), increases maximum drilling hole diameter to 152 mm (vs. 130 mm), upgrades diesel engine power up to 73 kW (vs. 58 kW), incorporates oil cylinder + roller chain feed, and increases machine operating weight to 5,700 kg for superior stability in hard rock.
A: To deliver air consumption of 13–20 m³/min, we recommend pairing the KD45S with Kaishan portable diesel screw air compressors such as the KM550-13 YC (13 bar), KM570-12/15 YC (12/15 bar), or KP400-18 YC (18 bar) depending on borehole diameter and altitude requirements.
A: Yes. The KD45S articulated boom supports horizontal drilling down to a minimum height of 350 mm and up to 2,850 mm, providing full coverage for quarry-floor toe blasting without leaving troublesome toe overhangs.
